About Us

Hello and welcome to my website – barbaramcginley.com. I’m a freelance writer, poet, published author, rescue dog advocate, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a former federal government employee for twenty-six years. In 2016, my career was sidelined by a cancer diagnosis, and compelled to retire while trying to navigate the residual effects of treatment.

I was born and raised in a small urban town in northern New Jersey. My family was predominantly Italian, and I was raised in the Catholic faith.

I am a college graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business management, a single mother of two adult children, and a first-time grandmother. I am a passionate advocate for rescue dogs, and have one of my own (rescue dog).

I have previously published a book of poetry, two books on affiliate marketing, and a book about rescue dogs. I’m currently writing a story about growing up in a small urban town.

My partner and co-writer is Dario.

Dario Lemut is a dedicated freelance writer who is passionate about sharing knowledge and inspiring others through his words. Focusing on practical advice and personal development, he has co-authored three insightful books: Blogging Your Way to a New Career, The Journey from Fixed Income to Successful Business, and Chance’s Tips and Tails (soon to be released).
